So, I'm late to the thread. But here's what's up with me. Finishing up a horror short that has taken waaay too long to finish. So I'm in final foley passes, ADR tweaks and general mix polishing. Used Matt's Whoosh Library for the fight scenes. I a...
Good thing to keep in mind, Matt. Thanks for sharing the story. Since I tend to record some high-profile folks from time to time, that's important advice.
I have a small pickup session tomorrow and I was suppose to fly into the city to pick up my "head in a box" micing system but I just couldn't squeeze it in.
Do you still have it?

Hi Joe,
sounds like you have a lot of similarities with me. I worked on 2 films this year as a programmer and also the score for Lincoln Heights on the ABC family channel. I write a ton of music in most styles for a catalog that licenses incredibly well. Just got the Protools 8 software and it's pretty nice. I'm a Nuendo guy but always have to deliver sessions in PT so I may go for the HD this coming year. I can't run my huge midi sessions on LE just won't work. Happy Holiday's !!!

Hey Joe, thanks for the greeting ! Looks like a lot of cool people here to compare notes with.
Short horror film...we're in post right now. I've got a temp mix together and a lot of partial sound design and scoring. In the midst of ADR at the moment.
Whats another project you are working on?
"Measure for Measure," theatre sound design.
What project did you complete?
"Macbeth" - theatre sound design/music. The director handed me Beethoven's Piano Trio no. 5 in D Major and said, "make it sound like this, only industrial and electronic."
Whats another project you completed?
VO/sound design/mix for a bunch of cartoons about famous artists and American presidents, for "GettingToKnow.com." We just finished the Mary Cassatt and John Adams cartoons, and are working on Thomas Jefferson right now. In the past I've done the George Washington, Michelangelo, da Vinci, Van Gogh, Rembrandt and Warhol cartoons.
Whats a project you would like to do someday?
moving my studio out of my dining room would be a good one.
