Mike Dicillo is a young composer/producer and a rising star in the music industry. His work with children's interactive books have earned him a great deal of recognition from Disney and Sesame Street. He is currently a full-time composer with Publications International, Ltd. and a part-time staff composer for several music libraries.
His work with Disney has included scoring original music for The Lion King, Pocohontas, Mulan, Aladdin, The Little Einsteins, and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. The interactive products on which has worked have kept children entertained while the story comes alive as well as teaching them how to read.
As a producer, Mike has taken his "hook savvy" chops to the top with club hits such as "Take My Body" and rock tracks like "Legal in My Mind" with the help of his colleagues Curtis Marolt and Matthew Scott. This super team has been dishing out tracks for clients ranging from orchestral monstrosities to industrial megaliths.
His side project, "The Subpar Villains" has been an outlet for Mike's creativity both in a musical and poetic sense, and is available on iTunes.
Through his work with Publications International, Ltd. and the Story Reader product line, Mike has also worked with several VO talents such as Alyce Beasley, Kevin Clash (Elmo), John Sterchi, and Mike Bratton.
Mike currently lives and works in Chicago.
